Dear participants, our agenda has had a small change. Our next activities will be:

October, 19th (Friday) – Technical Visit

Buses will depart from the Convention Center at 13h30.

14h00 – LN-NANO, CNPEN, Campinas

October, 20th (Saturday) – Sao Paulo Visit

Buses will depart from the Convention Center at 7h00.

10h00 – 12h00 – Mackenzie Presbyterian University – “Challenges and solutions for water and land management of São Paulo metropolitan region” – Prof Dr Mário Tadeu Lemes de Barros (POLI-USP) and Prof Dr Maria Cecília Loschiavo dos Santos (FAU-USP)

14h00 – São Paulo Bienal – Ibirapuera Park

Informations

Dear participants,

Here are some information about the Advanced School activities:

All classes will take place at the School of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Urban Planning (FEC), in the room CA-36 Click here for location

  • Attendance must be at least 90% of classes.
  • The posters will be displayed to the attendees during the pauses and between the session slots. Please note that posters allow the researcher to meet and speak informally with interested viewers, facilitating an exchange of ideas and networking opportunities. To prepare it, organise your concepts and data using an effective combination of visuals and text.
  • All slide presentations will be available in the future.

October 15th – MondayHappy Hour at “CPFL Institute” Buses will depart from the Convention Center (where the opening session was held) at 05:30 p.m. The cocktail will start at 6 p.m. and the scheduled return time of the buses to the Convention Center will be at 10 p.m. Click here for location

October 18th – Thursday – Happy Hour at “Empório do Nono”  The organization will not be responsible for the expenses, however the restaurant will offer a discount to the participants. Click here for the location

October 22th- Monday – “Forró at the Museum” (Sunset hour) We will have a “forró” dance class for beginners, followed by a “baile de forró” from 5 p.m. Click here for location

Poster Guidelines

As part of the Advanced School on Water-Energy-Food Nexus, all participants are required to bring a printed poster. They will be displayed to the attendees during the pauses and between the session slots.

Communicating with Applicants

We received a record number of applications, and we had to delay the response deadline to August 3rd, 2018. All applicants will receive timely communication by email from the organising committee to inform them of their final result in the application process. We thank you for your patience and apologise for the inconvenience.

Applications Now Closed!

The call for applications to the Advanced School on WEF Nexus is now officially closed, with more submissions than we were expecting! Thank you to everyone who applied! Now the scientific committee will focus on evaluating all applications received – quite a challenging task! Bear with us: email notifications will be dispatched to all candidates until July 30th, 2018.
